The Chilton Song<\/a>  -oh yes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019ve ever been to Lubbock, Texas, you might know that a Chilton is more than just a drink\u2014it\u2019s a tradition. This cocktail was born at the county club in Lubbock, a town I proudly call one<\/em> of my hometowns. My best Chilton memories are from The Blue Light Live, where I shared many laughs and Chiltons with my dear friend Jacey. Jacey and I perfected this Chilton recipe so you can recreate those belly-laughing good times wherever you are – Whether you\u2019re entertaining your mother-in-law or your best friend, this drink is the perfect companion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secret Ingredients<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vodka: <\/em><\/strong>The obvious choice of vodka for this drink is Tito\u2019s <\/a>because it’s also Texas-made. You can also run into Costco or Sam\u2019s and get a Kirkland vodka. If you live in Colorado or anywhere you can get ahold of it, I recommend 10th Mountain Vodka. <\/a>Finally, if you want to spice it up, I love making a Chilton with raspberry Western Son\u2019s vodka. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lemons: <\/em><\/strong>Freshly squeezed organic lemons from your local grocery store are the best option, but if you are feeling lazy like I always am, RealLemon juice<\/a> is a great option.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chilton Recipe:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf34 1 Lemon<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf34 Two fingers of vodka (or one shot)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf34 1 tablespoon of salt or tajin<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udf34A bottle of Topo Chico<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Rim the Glass:<\/strong> Grab your favorite cup\u2014be it a mason jar, coffee mug, Yeti cup, or even a red solo cup<\/a>. Line the bottom of a bowl with salt or Tajin. Cut the lemon into quarters and rub a slice around the rim of your glass, then roll it in the salt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Fill the Glass:<\/strong> Fill your glass with ice, then pour in three fingers of vodka.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Mix It Up:<\/strong> Squeeze the lemon quarters into the glass and top it off with Topo Chico.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Enjoy:<\/strong> Stir it up and enjoy your Chilton, whether you\u2019re toasting to good times past or creating new memories.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
